On Thursday, a search for an 82-year-old pensioner was carried out in Thal near Graz until late into the night. Then on Friday morning the sad certainty: the man was found dead.
The 82-year-old man has not been seen since Thursday afternoon. A major search began in Thal – with the police, rescue dogs, the volunteer fire brigade Steinberg-Rohrbach and Stiwoll – the latter also deployed a drone.
The search had to be stopped around midnight and continued Friday morning – with a sad ending. At around 9:30 am, the pensioner was found dead in a forest. There is no evidence of third-party negligence, the state police directorate confirms.
