Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assured on Saturday that the grain export agreement from Ukrainewhich ended today has been extended by agreement between Moscow and Kiev, but the duration has not become clear.

“The grain corridor deal is the most important deal between Russia and Ukraine next to the prisoner exchange deal, and it expires today. Through talks with both sides, we managed to extend this agreementwhich would end on March 19,” Erdogan said at a ceremony in Çanakkale province.

At the same time, Ukrainian Communications Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov announced on his Twitter account that the pact had been extended for 120 days.

“The agreement on the Black Sea Grain Initiative has been extended for 120 days. Thanks to António Guterres (UN Secretary General), President Erdogan, (Turkish Defense) Minister Hulusi Akar and all our partners for honoring the agreements.” wrote Kubrakov.

Hours later, however, Moscow denied this announcement. “We’ll say it again. The Russian Federation agreed to a extension of only 60 dayssaid Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zajárova, quoted by the official TASS agency.
