Because the jacket attached to the handlebars was pulled into the tire, a Romanian fell fatally on Saturday in Reith im Alpbachtal.
The 48-year-old rode north with another Romanian mountain biker (55) in Reith im Alpbachtal, Hygna district, around 3:30 p.m. On Hygna 22a, the 48-year-old’s jacket hanging from the handlebars was pulled between the suspension fork and the tyre.

The jacket blocked the steering wheel and the man fell. The Romanian, who was not wearing a helmet, hit his head on the road.
The alerted rescuers tried to resuscitate the victim, but were unsuccessful. The man died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries.
