After two 14-year-olds were assaulted by previously unknown schoolgirls in Vienna in January, police have now tracked down three people, aged 12, 13 and 14. The two girls were seriously injured.
The group of girls is said to have initially threatened the two students of a high school in Floridsdorf via social media. Shortly afterwards, “a dozen” 12 to 13-year-olds allegedly caught and beat up the two girls.

One of the victims even got a kick in the face. One of the victims is said to have changed schools immediately after the incident. The attack was also allegedly filmed with a mobile phone.
Contacted the school board
Police have been investigating the case ever since. “As soon as the investigation is completed, a report will be sent to the prosecutor’s office,” said police spokesman Philipp Hasslinger. The school board has since been contacted. “Targeted prevention work by specially trained officials takes place in the 3rd and 4th grade of the secondary school in question,” said the spokesperson.
