A traffic brawl that swept through Linz in the middle of the night is only 13 years old. The boy also endangered police officers who wanted to end the terrifying journey.
As has only now become known, the boy had already raced through the city of Linz at high speed at 2:25 a.m. on February 4. The list of offenses reported later was long: speeding, going against the one-way lane and many more. Numerous attempts to stop him failed. The then unknown driver was able to flee for the time being due to the reckless and dangerous driving behavior.
Second incident
But the officers found the car again. When pursued again, the youngster sent the car head-on twice into a police car near Glimpfingerstraße, which had previously tried to stop the car. By slowing down and distracting, the officers managed to prevent worse things in time. The driver was able to get away unnoticed.
presumed stepfather
Because the license plate was known, summary proceedings were instituted against the license plate holder, a 42-year-old from Linz. The suspect has made it plausible that he was at work at the time of the crime.
fear of consequences
Further investigation revealed that the 42-year-old’s 13-year-old stepson was driving the car at the time. The boy confessed. He started the resistance out of fear of the consequences and because of the adrenaline rush.
