A 500 kilo bull escaped from a farm in Neukirchen an der Enknach (Upper Austria) on Thursday morning. He ran to a neighbour’s house, where he attacked a 65-year-old woman, injuring her so badly that she had to be taken to hospital.
A 58-year-old farmer lost a 1,000-pound bull shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday while grooming his hooves. This can force the hoof trimmer’s hydraulics and run across a pasture to a neighboring farm.
Hunters killed cattle
The farmer who stayed behind and his 62-year-old helper alerted the old farmer (65) and her 38-year-old son to the neighboring farm. Together they tried to drive the animal into the courtyard. The 65-year-old was pushed to the ground by the bull. The woman was injured to an undetermined extent in the attack and had to be taken to Braunau hospital under the supervision of an emergency doctor.
The escaped bull was caught by hunters calling for help in a nearby field and had to be killed.
