The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed the discovery of the missing uranium ore concentrate (UOC) in Libya. Most of the 2.5 tons of material had been found – only a “relatively small amount” had disappeared.
Reuters news agency reported the contents of a confidential statement to IAEA member states.
Barrels were only three miles from the camp
The IAEA informed its members last Wednesday that the uranium could no longer be found. The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced the next day that the UOC barrels had been found about three miles from where they were originally stored. Thieves from Chad may have robbed the IAEA 2020 sealed warehouse and later abandoned the barrels.
