An 18-year-old driver’s license holder has only owned a 286 hp BMW for two days. Then the novice driver crashed the car in a spectacular accident in Enns: he came with the car from the romantic road onto the parallel country road and collided head-on with a small truck.
An 18-year-old Bulgarian motorist from the Amstetten district couldn’t keep his new car on the street because a car had turned off an intersection right in front of him and he made a mess of it on the parallel street.
On the Austrian Romantic Road
The teenager was on Friday around 9:40 p.m. on the Austrian Romantic Road in the municipality of Enns in the direction of Asten. His 17-year-old friend from the Linz-Land district was in the passenger seat. After a small white Citroen car drove out of Oberhauserstrasse, he had to divert his car to avoid a rear-end collision. However, he went too far to the left and drove over an embankment onto the parallel country road.
Frontal against truck
There he grazed another vehicle and drove head-on into a small truck. It was pushed back and damaged two other vehicles. The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident. The second was admitted to Kepler University Hospital. However, the vehicles involved were heavily damaged.
Witnesses to the accident and the driver of the white Citroën involved are requested to call 059133 4132.
