US police have released the names of the victims of a horrific shooting at a Christian elementary school in Nashville. Three children as young as nine were killed, as were three adults, including the school’s principal. The nine-year-old daughter of the pastor of the school’s church is also among the fatalities. Meanwhile, police said the shooter was being treated for an “emotional disorder.” In the video above you can see how the perpetrator is eliminated by the police.
Two girls, Evelyn Dieckhaus and Hallie Scruggs, and nine-year-old William Kinney were killed in the school massacre. Also teacher Cynthia Peak (61), school director Katherine Koonce (60) and school employee Mike Hill (61), who worked in the kitchen, among other things, did not survive the bloody act.
Hallie Scruggs was the youngest child of Pastor Chad Scruggs, who led the school’s Covenant Presbyterian Church. Various photos of the Scruggs family and the other victims are circulating on social networks.
Shooter under medical treatment
Gunman Audrey Hale, who was shot dead by police, was being treated for an “emotional disorder,” it said Tuesday. The 28-year-old owned seven legally purchased firearms and hid them in her parents’ home, Nashville, Tennessee police chief John Drake told reporters Tuesday.
Her parents believed she only owned one gun and sold it. “Her parents thought she shouldn’t own guns,” he said.
The motive for the insanity remains unclear
The motive for the crime is still unclear, Drake said. She probably chose her victims randomly in grade school. Drake gave no further details about the perpetrator’s “emotional disorder” or what treatment she received. The 28-year-old was not known to police, he stressed.
