After a beaver rescue on Thursday in Wiener Neustadt, there was another rodent in need in St. Pölten on Friday night. “Am Bischofteich” in the Lower Austrian capital, a beaver got lost in an empty well from which he could no longer free himself. The fire department was on duty.
A passerby saw the beaver and alerted the helpers. According to a broadcast, six emergency services of the St. Pölten-Stadt fire brigade have installed a wooden panel and a park bench as climbing aids. After a short time, the rodent chose the second option, disappeared from the pool and hurried along the path into the darkness (see image above).
Not the first beaver operation this week
In Wiener Neustadt, a beaver had to be rehomed on Thursday, which had strayed past the nature protection fence to the S4. The fire brigade came with a clean garbage can and got the job done.
