Unusual robbery next to the highway: Two unknown persons broke into a car in which a Ukrainian was sleeping in the early morning – and drove off with the 31-year-old in his vehicle! After a few minutes they fled on foot with their loot.
The 31-year-old, who is from the Ukraine and was traveling through Austria, took a break on the Laßnitzhöhe motorway on Wednesday morning and fell asleep.
Driven to Graz with the victim
Then it happened: around 5 a.m., previously unknown perpetrators suddenly smashed the side window of his car. In order to act quickly and unnoticed, they, as the police suspect, got into the vehicle and drove with the victim towards Graz.
Ukrainians suffered minor injuries
After just a few minutes, the perpetrators stopped at a less frequented location in the Grambach area. They then fled on foot with the stolen goods (cash, two mobile phones) worth more than a thousand euros. The Ukrainian suffered minor injuries in the attack and attracted the attention of passersby who called for help.
The culprits are being sought.
