At some point in the past three weeks, thieves made a major loot in apartment buildings in the Feldkirchen district, targeting basement compartments.
Basement compartments of two residential complexes located close to each other were the target of the unknown perpetrators. “A mountain bike and a game console with a total value of several thousand euros were stolen from a coupé,” the police said. “In the second theft, two high-quality e-bikes and their charging station were stolen – here too, the damage amounts to several thousand euros.”
With the onset of spring, such burglaries are on the rise in Carinthia and the police strongly warn against storing other valuables with expensive mountain bikes or e-bikes in well-secured cellar compartments. Because the thieves specifically target those compartments.
