A 64-year-old man from Sieghartskirchen drove his car on the right lane of the A1 (Westautobahn) towards Vienna at around 12:45 p.m. on Friday. In the municipality of Eggendorf in the Traunkreis (Upper Austria), for unknown reasons, he crashed into the rear of an articulated vehicle in front of him at a speed of about 110 to 120 km/h, which was driven by a 39-year-old Lower Austrian .
