Date:

Also this year, several fire brigades in southern Austria had to move to illegally lit Easter mounds on the night of Holy Saturday.

The Styrian fire brigade association had reported several operations and five fire brigades had to be deployed in Carinthia to extinguish the early Easter fires.

The Großlobming fire brigade in Styria was alerted shortly before 3 a.m. Despite the tight guard around the huge heaps of branches and leaves, unknown persons managed to light an Easter bonfire that had been prepared for Holy Saturday.
