On Holy Saturday, a serious traffic accident occurred in the municipality of Röthis in Vorarlberg. The 24-year-old’s car collided with two oncoming cars.
At 7:10 p.m., a 76-year-old woman drove her car, in which she also took her husband, down Treietstraße (L63) in Röthis in the direction of Sulz. Suddenly she crossed the barrier into the left oncoming lane and collided sideways with the car of an oncoming 24-year-old driver.
24-year-old seriously injured
This then collided head-on with the car of a 53-year-old woman who was driving behind the 76-year-old. All three vehicles sustained significant property damage, the 24-year-old suffered serious injuries, the other two were injured to an undetermined degree.
The police are looking for witnesses
All three were taken to Feldkirch State Hospital. The 76-year-old passenger was completely unharmed. In order to clarify the cause of the accident and the exact course of the accident, an expert was called in by order of the Feldkirch public prosecutor’s office and all vehicles involved in the accident were seized.
The L63 was closed until about 10 p.m. There were a total of eight rescuers with three ambulances, an ambulance and a command vehicle on the scene. The Sulz and Rankweil fire brigades were also on site with a total of eight vehicles and 55 emergency services.
