The climate activists of the last generation are once again causing chaos in the streets of Graz in morning traffic on Friday: Heinrichstrasse and Glacis, two main routes in the city center, are blocked.
Many drivers will probably take a deep breath, but on Friday they will need patience again, a lot of patience. At the end of their “Graz week”, the glue activists block two major traffic routes in the city center. Long traffic jams from Keplerstraße via Lendkai, Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai, Heinrichstraße and Glacis are the result.
The concerns of the protesters are now known, but the right contacts will probably not be stuck in traffic on Friday.
“The demand is that the federal government finally takes the cheapest, simplest protection measures for a secure future in the climate crisis: 100 km/h on the highway and a ban on new oil and gas drilling. It is irresponsible that Chancellor Nehammer and Vice Chancellor Kogler are still not ready to get behind the science,” it said in a broadcast.
