Trial in Feldkirch – the accused had fabricated crimes

Date:

Since yesterday, a 28-year-old woman from the Oberland has to answer for defamation at the regional court in Feldkirch. The woman had told police she had been raped.

Accompanied by her lawyer and a counselor from the Institute for Social Services, the mother of five entered the courtroom on Friday morning. Even before judge Christoph Stadler asks her to blame, the woman bursts into tears and sobs: “I don’t want to go to jail!” And rightly so: because it is not the first time that the five-time criminal has wrongly committed an accused crime.

The current case is about a man who met the unemployed last November on a dating platform. A casual relationship developed, according to the chat log, they occasionally met for sex. One day, the woman suddenly reports to the police, claiming that the man stalked and then raped her after they had sex for the first time.

Judge: “But how does that work? Because in the chat log you write: I miss you. I cooked for you and I’m glad you came.” The defendant: “I just slept with him over and over so he wouldn’t hurt me. I didn’t want that.” She disagrees with the victim being questioned and instead whines, “I’m the victim!”

The woman becomes entangled in contradictions. Finally, she also admits the lie that she was pregnant and that she had the child aborted by the gynaecologist.

Intellectually like a twelve year old
According to counsel Georg Mandl, the reason for these lies probably lies deeper: “My client, according to the expert opinion, has the intellectual level of a twelve-year-old. Therefore, the authorities took all five of her children and placed them in someone else’s home.”

process postponed
A psychological report on mental health has now been requested by Professor Reinhard Haller. At the next session it will become clear whether the woman will be admitted to a forensic therapeutic institution.
