The decline has not stopped. The annual consumption in the BAG has decreased by 9 kg per person (10 kg in Spain). In Navarre, the decrease is less pronounced, with 2 kg less consumption per year.

This decrease is related to the change of habits. While domestic consumption has declined, out-of-home consumption has increased. We also spend less time cooking every day.

In addition, the fact that families are smaller, with fewer young people and more elderly people, has an impact on consumption figures.
