Fortunately, the six children were not injured: Monday morning there was a traffic accident involving a car and a school bus in Kaltenberg, Upper Austria. The two drivers were taken to hospital.
A 29-year-old driver from Rainbach in the Mühlviertel had driven her car on Nordkamm Straße from Unterweißenbach towards Weitersfelden at about 11:50 a.m. At the same time, a local 58-year-old bus driver drove the school bus, which contained six primary school students, from Kaltenberg towards Tischberg. In Kaltenberg, the bus driver may have overlooked the motorist coming from the right and there was a collision with the front corner of the vehicle.
Injured indefinitely
The two drivers were injured to an undetermined degree in the accident and were taken to the Freistadt clinic with the Liebenau rescue helicopter and C10 rescue helicopter. The students were unharmed. Both cars were a total loss.
