A 14-year-old student from the Carinthian district of Spittal an der Drau threatened two classmates on Tuesday with a loaded alarm gun and even held the gun to one of his temples.
The incident happened at 11:40 am in the middle of Spittal an der Drau, on a public road. The two students (14 and 15) were threatened with death by their classmate (14). When the 14-year-old held the gun to his classmate’s (15) temple, the two victims managed to escape and board a public bus.
Based on the descriptions of a witness, the 14-year-old suspect was stopped by police officers near the crime scene. The boy had the gun in his pocket. The police immediately detained them. The student has been arrested.
During the further search, the police found six cartridges and also secured them. When questioned, the boy stated that he had not threatened anyone. Because he wanted to be cool, he always carried the gun he found in a forest about two weeks ago, even at school. The 14-year-old is reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Klagenfurt. He was given a temporary gun ban.
