Spectacular accident in Gschwandt (Upper Austria). A car had cut down a tree and then, still traveling at high speed, crashed into a farm garage.
The pictures speak for themselves: there is a huge hole in the garage, the car is a total loss and the engine block is next to the vehicle. This shows the force with which the VW hit the brick wall of the garage. Immediately after the accident, a local resident raised the alarm and called the fire department.
Second car damaged
The old farmer’s wife, who had also run to the scene of the accident, was in the house itself. The driver was injured in the accident and, at the initial shock, was unable to explain how the accident could have happened. The totally destroyed car was pulled from the garage. A car parked in the old farmer’s garage was also damaged. The deployment of the fire brigade was completed after about 45 minutes.
