“Altxa! Egin dezagun possible. For the distribution of care, employment and wealth” is the motto chosen by the union LABORATORY to focus the demands of this May 1, Day of working people. “For governments, caring for people, putting people first has become just a slogan. It does not encourage debate or action to promote the necessary changes,” the secretary-general said. Garbine Aranburuin his speech after the main demonstration held this morning in Bilbao.
“The excuses and justifications are over. We need radical changes,” Aranburu told the militants who have marched the central streets of the capital, starting at 11 a.m. from Plaza Zabalburu.
“Capitalism exploits the planet and the people. It expropriates the working class, it does it by not recognizing care work, making labor relations precarious and dismantling public services. In this way there is a transfer of income from work to income from capital , an insecurity that extends to all areas of life, constantly makes life more expensive, and this impoverishes the workers,” warned the central abertzale in his call for mobilization.

According to LAB, this situation is not a result “neither of the pandemic nor of the war in Ukraine”, but is due to capitalism only after “decades of neoliberal policies”.
There will be expansion
