With the buggy of a friend of the same age, two 16-year-olds built a serious traffic accident in Prambachkirchen on Sunday afternoon. The driver from Eferding apparently drove too fast, lost control on a straight road and crashed into a garage wall without braking.
“When we arrived the boys were conscious, but their legs were trapped in the wreckage. Neighbors started to provide first aid, we freed them,” said Markus Klaffenböck, commander of the Gallsbach-Dachsberg fire brigade. The driver was flown to the UKH in Linz.
It read Monday: “The patient is currently being treated for severe craniocerebral trauma”. His friend came to Wels, is out of danger, but is seriously injured in intensive care.
The boys were not strapped in and were not wearing helmets. In addition, the vehicle was not approved for traffic and they did not have a valid driver’s license.
