A 61-year-old motorist suddenly developed physical complaints on Sunday while driving on the A9 towards Linz. Another road user alerted the emergency services, but all help came too late for the man. The man died in the car.
At around 11 p.m., officers from the Trieben police inspectorate were called to a medical emergency on the A9 towards Linz. There were two vehicles parked on the construction site. A 58-year-old from Linz approached the officers and stated that a woman had stopped him with hand gestures and asked for help because her husband was complaining of breathing problems and the vehicle had to stop. The man then called 911.
Paramedics could only determine death
The officials then immediately removed the 61-year-old driver from the vehicle and began administering first aid. Red Cross ambulance personnel took over the resuscitation measures, which were unsuccessful. The emergency doctor was only able to determine the death of the 61-year-old from Linz.
