A 54-year-old worker was seriously injured in an industrial accident in Höchst (Vorarlberg) on Monday afternoon. He slipped on scaffolding while plastering and fell. He smashed through a glass dome and landed one floor below on the concrete floor.
The 54-year-old was plastering on a roof around 3.30pm when he suddenly slipped and fell off the scaffolding. In doing so, he fell through a closed skylight onto an underlying metal plank and eventually landed on the concrete floor.
With a rescue helicopter to the hospital
He suffered such serious injuries that he had to be flown to Feldkirch State Hospital by rescue helicopter Christophorus 8.
