In a serious accident on the A25 Wels motorway near Wels-Neustadt in Upper Austria, a BMW was literally torn to shreds on Wednesday morning. The driver miraculously emerged from the wreckage with only a cut.
The accident happened early in the morning on the A25 Wels motorway in the direction of the Haid junction. Shortly before the exit of the Wels-Nord motorway, a serious accident occurred between a passenger car, a van and a truck, in which the car literally went to pieces. The road police forces were shocked to see the accident car.
Thousands of Guardian Angels
The driver obviously had thousands of guardian angels, he was able to leave the wreckage with minor injuries. The occupants of the van and the truck driver were unharmed, both vehicles were badly damaged. Together with the route service and the traffic controllers of ASFINAG, various towing services were deployed to clear the accident site.
The A25 Wels motorway was difficult to pass on the hard shoulder towards the Haid junction for about two hours. Traffic was largely diverted at the Wels junction via the Innkreis and Westautobahn.
