A serious traffic accident took place on Tuesday evening on the Gurtel in Vienna-Margareten. A 79-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured.
At around 9 p.m., the pedestrian on the Margaretengurtel was crossing the street without looking first, when at the same time a 30-year-old crossed the street with his car. He failed to brake in time and caught the 79-year-old. The pedestrian hit the windshield of the car and fell to the asphalt. The emergency services were immediately alerted.
