Former SPÖ chancellor Christian Kern is a guest on Thursday evening on the “Friendship Tour” of presidential candidate Hans Peter Doskozil. While all other former red chancellors have supported party leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner, Kern has not yet publicly declared himself, but is attributed to the camp of the party leader and governor of Burgenland.
Doskozil’s publicity tour for the position of federal party leader stops on Thursday in Neudörfl, where social democracy was founded 149 years ago. According to the invitation, Kern will discuss current challenges in economic and energy policy with Doskozil in front of about 400 party members.

When asked, SPÖ chairman Pamela Rendi-Wagner – who had brought Kern into politics and elected her as his successor – dryly said on Wednesday: “I am not familiar with Mr Doskozil’s calendar of appointments and therefore knew nothing about it. You don’t have to go everywhere. to comment.”
