Shock for a couple driving on Tyrolean Achenseestraße in Maurach on Thursday evening: Suddenly the two’s car started to burn and after a short time it was completely engulfed. All two and four legged friends were able to save themselves.
The local driver (47) and his 45-year-old partner drove their car and caravan on Achenseestraße in Maurach towards Pertisau at around 3:15 am. The two suddenly noticed the smell of fire and reacted quickly: they parked the car, uncoupled the caravan and got their two dogs to safety.
Then the car caught fire. Although the campers set the rescue chain in motion, the fire brigade was unable to prevent the vehicle from completely burning out.
Warning light came on for fire
There is currently no information on the cause of the fire. According to the driver, the indicator light for the AdBlue function had come on before the fire broke out. Fortunately no one was injured, but the car is a total loss.
