This time, however, the president went a step further by prescribing journalists’ questions, the conservative news outlet Fox News claimed.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made it clear on Thursday, however, that the president does not receive questions from journalists in advance. Photos of the press conference with Yoon during the state visit on Wednesday gave rise to speculation.
They show Biden holding a note with a photo of a Los Angeles Times newspaper reporter, her name, and questions.

Jean-Pierre said it is the job of the White House press office to inform the president of any questions he has before a press conference. “Our job is to get an idea of what you want to ask him, what the news of the day is and what topics you are interested in,” Jean-Pierre told journalists present at the daily news briefing of the White House.
They want to make sure that the information they release is useful to the press and the American people. The question Biden was asked at the end was different from the one on the leaflet, Jean-Pierre said.
