It was an unusual trial at the Vienna Regional Court against a 63-year-old insurance broker. Prosecutors accused him of raping one of his clients. The alleged victim is 80 years old. On the second day of the interrogation, the expert has her say: The injuries do not match the descriptions of the elderly lady.
For the second appointment, an insurance intermediary must sit before the Vienna Regional Court. The Public Prosecution Service makes serious accusations against the 63-year-old: he would have raped an 80-year-old client. “The grandmother told me that he sexually assaulted her,” says her granddaughter on the witness stand.
He says she grabbed him by the crotch
But the versions couldn’t be more different. While the pensioner states that the Viennese grabbed and penetrated her during gymnastic exercises, he says that the woman grabbed him by the crotch. He was perplexed and left without saying a word.
A gynecological report should clarify, and it clearly says, “There should have been more injuries” if it happened as the old lady describes it. Breathe a sigh of relief from the insurance broker, defended by Philipp Winkler. The judges acquitted him.
