Bomb alert at Linz train station! At around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, an unknown person called the police and threatened to detonate an explosive device. The train station was evacuated and trains were halted for more than half an hour.
Excitement at Linz train station on Tuesday night. Around 9:45 p.m., the entire building was evacuated and numerous police officers searched the entire site. The train service was also stopped immediately, the ÖBB confirms when asked by the “Krone”.
No bomb found
The cause of the excitement was an anonymous caller who had previously threatened the police with detonating a bomb at the train station. Around 10:20 pm the whole ghost was over. No bomb was found and the trains were able to run again. The police are currently intensively looking for the anonymous threatening caller.
