We managed to successfully submit funding applications and receive commitments on a scale that is unique in Austria! A huge amount of effort is currently being put into ensuring that all our customers can get the photovoltaic system they want. Because we like to unburden our customers and see the best service as an integral part of our Krone Sonne products. We are already intensively involved in the climate debate with suggestions for improvement and will continue to do so proactively.
The result may already be there, although the energy transition in the country is not a sprint but a real marathon. Despite everything, the Krone Sonne applies: Photovoltaics is THE solid starter in the great energy revolution. But we all need a future-proof support system here and we will continue to do everything we can to achieve that.
In the March funding call alone, we were able to successfully submit more than 1800 funding applications in a short time (a few minutes!). From the political statements of the past week, we can conclude that all these applications have been approved. A few hundred have arrived so far – we can’t wait for the rest! We also stuck with last year’s funding calls. Our proud total balance: We have already been able to submit a total of 5425 applications.
But for us it is literally set in stone: the processing of the so-called network access request with our own network operator before installation or the commissioning application after installation are essential components of any large overall package from Krone Sonne. Complete and reliable, at no extra cost to our customers.
Sustainable improvements have also been achieved in financing
Our promise from the beginning was and still is: “Fast as a greyhound or smart as a Krone-Sonne customer!” We will continue to do this consistently and stay on the ball for you so that the bottleneck of stuck subsidies is finally resolved. . But here too Krone Sonne has been able to achieve lasting improvements! Because the Minister of Green Environment Leonore Gewessler recently announced some very good news. Especially for the first financing round: about 100,000 applications were received, of which 90 percent for small PV installations up to 20 kilowatts and 10 percent for larger commercial solar power plants. By prioritizing further resources from the climate and energy fund, all financing applications from private individuals could now be approved in the first round.
At the same time, all open applications from the previous year that were newly submitted were also approved. This means that 323 eco-millions could be committed in the first round. The first confirmations have already been delivered. A total of EUR 600 million in funding is available this year. In addition, three more calls are planned. “Every solar power plant replaces dirty electricity from natural gas and with every solar power plant we gain independence, clean air and lower energy costs,” assures Gewessler, who also praises our soft solar offensive in partnership with Better Energy. The goal is to provide Austria with 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030.
For us, the positive news is also an incentive to work even harder on expanding the domestic solar network.
