The 11-year-old snorkeler was bitten by an unidentified shark species near the Kurrajong Campground. Recently, 23-year-old professional surfer Max Marsden was allegedly attacked and injured by a shark. He reported on Instagram that he was able to save himself by hitting the head of the one and a half meter animal and getting to shore with the help of a friend. According to the surfer, this incident happened in Geraldton, about 500 miles south of Exmouth.
