At around 9 a.m., the 44-year-old owner of a nine-year-old cat came to the police station and reported that her “Charly” had been shot with a small-caliber bullet on the night of the national holiday.

She immediately took the animal to the Altheim veterinary clinic, where the left front leg had to be amputated. According to the treating vet, it was definitely a gunshot wound.
