Cat drama in Mauerkirchen in the Innviertel: An animal torturer shot the nine-year-old cat “Charly”, the left front leg of the resident tiger had to be amputated!

The Mauerkirchen police station has been investigating suspected animal abuse since the morning of May 1. At around 9 a.m., the 44-year-old owner of a nine-year-old cat came to the police station and reported that her “Charly” had been shot with a small-caliber bullet on the night of the national holiday.

She immediately took the animal to the Altheim veterinary clinic, where the left front leg had to be amputated. According to the treating vet, it was definitely a gunshot wound. The cat had been released by its owner earlier in the evening of April 30, 2023 and attracted attention with loud screams in the early hours of the morning.
