Just after the long weekend, the climate stickers of the “last generation” are planning blockades in Vienna again – for at least three weeks.
Starting Tuesday, the “Last Generation” activists are planning their third wave of protests in Vienna’s early morning traffic at particularly sensitive points. Of course they do not reveal exactly where the demonstrators want to keep themselves on the asphalt.
Daily blocks for three weeks
Daily blockades are planned for at least three weeks, and the group spoke of their biggest campaign to date. Viennese motorists can expect extra traffic jams again.
The blockades will largely follow the familiar pattern: the activists want to be on the street early in the morning on weekdays to disrupt traffic for as long as possible. The hard core of the group, which has completed the right training module to stay on the road, now numbers about 200 people.
