A teacher at a secondary school in the Linz-Land district allegedly sexually harassed students – including inappropriate hugs and looks at the cleavage (we reported). Now the education department has fired the educator.
The allegations against the teacher came out in the media last week. A girl had contacted the school management, who informed the education department. The teacher allegedly hugged and accidentally touched the students, or looked at their cleavage.
The Department of Education has released the teacher with immediate effect.

After the student made the allegations of harassment, all classmates, parents and teachers were questioned. The suspicion against the educator should have been confirmed.
Now the education department has fired the teacher. “We have zero understanding and zero tolerance for such behavior. Schools must be a safe place for students,” says director of education Alfred Klampfer. “We want to thank the girls who showed courage and confided in us.”
