Climate Protection Experiment – 30 People from Graz Gave Up Meat and Car Keys

In May, 30 people from Graz tried a climate protection experiment: for a month they lived without a car and without meat and tried to consume as consciously as possible. The result: two families even sold their cars! And many more things changed in her life.

What can a city do to convince its employees to behave more climate-friendly? Governments around the world are thinking about this. So are Gudrun Rönfeld and Julia Wohlfahrt. They are implementing the federally funded project ‘Climate Pioneer City’ in Graz. “We didn’t want to develop a computer program and need 9,000 employees for that,” they say. Instead, the women chose a different path, inspired by a Swiss project.
