After Moscow claimed to have shot down Ukrainian drones over the Kremlin, the shreds are flying between Moscow and Kiev even more than before. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejects Russian accusations of attempted assassination of President Vladimir Putin: “We are not attacking Putin, we are leaving it to a tribunal.”
Medvedev called for the “physical elimination” of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in response to the alleged Ukrainian drone strike. “Following today’s act of terror, there is no other option than the physical elimination of Zelenskyy and his clique,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram on Wednesday.
Comparison with Hitler
In his view, Zelenskyy “is not necessary to sign the surrender of Ukraine,” Medvedev wrote. “As is known, (Adolf) Hitler did not sign (surrender) either.” There will certainly be a delegate in the Ukraine like Hitler’s short successor, Admiral Karl Dönitz. A central point of Russian war propaganda is the assumption that a fascist regime was in power in Kiev. Zelensky support
Selenskyj is currently in Finland for talks. Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and Zelenskyi discussed, among other things, the defense of Ukraine against the Russian attack and Finnish support for the country. At a meeting with Zelenskyy in the afternoon, the countries of Northern Europe assured Ukraine of their long-term support in the fight against the Russian offensive war.
