A six-month-old baby died in a tragic accident in Ravensburg, Germany, on Wednesday. The driver of a corn chipper failed to see the stroller and fatally injured the child.
The 30-year-old driver caught the pram with the six-month-old baby on the farm in the municipality of Berg reversing, a police spokesperson said on Thursday. The baby was seriously injured and died a short time later.
The cause of the accident is still being determined
A crisis intervention team took care of the next of kin. The exact course of Wednesday’s accident has yet to be determined. Whether the 30-year-old and the baby are related, the police do not want to say.
It is also not known whether the child died on the spot or in a hospital.
