On Friday evening, a police unit was called to Vienna-Hernals. Three men had broken into an apartment, but were under observation. The observant neighbors alerted the police emergency number.
Officers from the police command of the city of Döbling and the police dog unit immediately went to the address. The front door of the apartment in question was left open. A person could be seen entering through the window in the aisle.
Service dog found burglars
Despite inquiries, the man did not leave the apartment. Eventually, a service dog found the Algerian suspect. The 22-year-old was detained for the time being. The search for the other suspects turned up nothing. The Viennese Criminal Investigation Department, West Department, has taken over the investigation. The hearings are pending.
