A man with covered eyes is dragged through the corridors of the hospital by armed men, one of them holding a cleaver: The Israeli army has released surveillance camera footage that allegedly shows Hamas taking hostages to Al-Shifa after the terrorist attack. Gaza (see above).
According to the Israeli military, the videos are evidence that the organization “used the clinic site as a terrorist infrastructure on the day of the massacre” and continued to use it systematically.
Seriously injured man on stretcher
The images show two men apparently being taken to the Al-Shifa clinic by armed men. In one video, several men drag a person through the main entrance. One of the men appears to be holding a cleaver in his hand. Another surveillance video shows a seriously injured person being rolled to the hospital on a stretcher and being met by medical personnel.
According to the date on the video footage, the footage was taken on the morning of October 7, the day Hamas carried out its massacre in Israel. The video footage has not yet been independently verified.
Kidnapped people have not yet been found
According to Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari, the two hostages are a Nepali and a Thai. The military has not yet been able to locate them. “We don’t know where they are,” Hagari said. Nepal’s Foreign Ministry confirmed to CNN that a Nepalese citizen has been missing since October 7 and is believed to have been taken hostage.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also released images of stolen military vehicles on the hospital grounds on the day of the massacre. These images were geolocated by krone.at.
Ministry of Health doubts the authenticity
The Ministry of Health in Gaza, run by the terrorist organization Hamas, expressed doubts about the authenticity of the recordings, CNN reported. But if the images were real, they would show that hospitals in Gaza would treat anyone who needed it, the ministry said. According to official sources, ten Nepalis and eighteen Thais were killed in the terrorist attack.
According to IDF spokesman Hagari, the hostages were not taken to Shifa Hospital because they were injured; one of the two men was apparently not injured at all. From there they were taken to hostage shelters, he said.
“Not taken to hospital for treatment”
“If they had been hospitalized, the Red Cross would have come and they would have been released. None of that happened,” Hagari said. The fact that several hospitals in Gaza are closer to the border with Israel also suggests that the men were not taken to Shifa Hospital for treatment, but because it is a hub for Hamas activities.
On Sunday, the IDF presented further evidence of the terrorist use of the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army announced that a 55-meter-long “terror tunnel” had been discovered on the grounds of the Al-Shifa hospital at a depth of ten meters. The terrorist organization Hamas has always denied that such tunnels under hospitals exist.
