A 63-year-old probably imagined this Ferrari meeting in Tyrol differently. The man was there in his red sports car. But he has to start the journey home without his luxury sleigh. He was knocked out in a collision.
The accident happened on Saturday morning on Loferer Straße (B178) in Erpfendorf in the Tyrolean Unterland. There, the 63-year-old wanted to turn into Loferer Strasse from a hotel driveway at around 10:45 am. Before the intersection, the driver stopped the Ferrari for a moment and then drove on.
It happened: For reasons that are still unclear, there was a collision with the car of a 42-year-old. He was still trying to avoid the collision. However, his car crashed into the back of the sports car. The impact was so severe that the Ferrari lost a wheel.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the accident. The 42-year-old and the Ferrari driver’s 66-year-old suffered minor injuries. During the clean-up work, the accident site was only accessible via one lane.
