Date:

The movement of pensioners of the CAV is also leaving on the 13th of this month in the capitals, to demand a minimum pension of 1080 euros.

The Euskadi movement of pensioners has called for demonstrations in the capitals of the BAC on May 13 and for a unity march in Vitoria-Gasteiz on May 25, to demand from the Spanish government and political parties a minimum pension of 1080 eurosamong other claims.

In a statement, this movement has indicated that the pension reform has been approved by the Spanish government does not contain the claimed requirements on the street for more than five years.

They reject the increase from 25 to 29 years of contribution years for the calculation of the pension and request the 15 years before 2011.

They complain about that the increase in minimum pensions does not even reach 1080 euros. “We are talking about a pensioner over the age of 65, with a non-dependent spouse, who, according to the government table, would go from 743 euros in 2023 to 873 euros in 2027 after applying 60% of the median income in that year.”

They also claim that collective occupational pension schemes are reported and taxed as employment income and advocate effective measures to closing the gender gap in salaries and pensions.
