Three neglected animals were taken away on Saturday in Bruck an der Mur (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district) due to terrible animal husbandry. Two dogs and a cat had to manage between mountains of waste and excrement.
Officers from the Bruck an der Mur police station investigated a specific case in an apartment on Saturday. The apartment owner’s 19-year-old girlfriend opened the door and a sour smell wafted toward the officers. The woman stated that she had two dogs and a cat at home and allowed officers access to the home.
All full of rubbish and excrement
The image that the officials then saw in the building was shocking: the floor was littered with rubbish and soiled with the excrement of the animals. Due to the appalling conditions, the official veterinarian was informed, who examined the animals and also arranged for their evacuation. The dogs and cat were temporarily housed in various animal shelters.
