The Viennese police are announcing an upcoming special operation on various platforms. The followers are happy in the reactions: The superheroes of WEGA are back – this year even with the support of the minister!
It is a very special kind of assignment, probably the only one for which more than 40 volunteers can always be found. Since 2018, agents of WEGA, a special unit of the Austrian police, have been on duty several times in the center of Vienna with very special equipment.

Here in this ward are seriously ill children whose new lives are already defined by chronic illnesses. They have to show that all their idols have come especially for them, the real superheroes.
After the spectacular abseiling, small gifts were usually distributed to the patients, and those who could not come to the reception were visited in bed.
This campaign is probably a good example of how happiness actually doubles when you share it – it’s consistently getting positive reactions in the social media commentary columns as well, with some users even moved to tears.
