From Friday, vaccinations for tourists in the US are no longer mandatory

Date:

As of Friday, vaccinations are no longer required for almost all foreign visitors to the US. In addition, government officials and employees of companies that work for the US state no longer need to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

That was ordered by President Joe Biden on Tuesday. The Covid emergency also ends on Friday. As reported, the WHO ended the global health emergency last week.

The Biden administration mandated vaccination for approximately 3.5 million federal employees in September 2021. However, after a series of court rulings, the measure has not been enforced for more than a year.

Introducing Fall 2021
Two months later, mandatory vaccinations were introduced for people traveling to the United States by air. Full protection was or is still needed until Friday. Excluded were U.S. citizens, permanent residents, children and youth under the age of 18, and people who could not be vaccinated for medical reasons.
