A 25-year-old stabbed his partner (29) at least 14 times last year with a filleting knife in an apartment in Innsbruck. The woman survived only by luck. Now the man tried to explain in court how the bloody deed came about.
With the last strength and covered in blood, a 29-year-old Tyrolean woman managed to escape from a residential building in the Saggen district of Innsbruck in September last year. The seriously injured woman collapsed in front of a passerby on the street. Doctors saved her life with emergency surgery.
Simple discussion as a trigger
Her partner (25) was arrested that same evening. The Libyan, who met the social worker and fell in love with the job after fleeing his homeland, stabbed the 29-year-old at least 14 times in the upper body and back with a fillet knife. “Voices ordered me to do this,” explained the man who, according to psychiatrist Gabriele Wörgötter, suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. After a simple conversation, the 25-year-old stood in front of his girlfriend with the knife.
admission to the institution
After a not very clear decision of the jury (7:1), the person concerned is now placed in an institution. He immediately accepted the decision.
