The Association of Companies of Gipuzkoa, Adegi and the trade unions ELA and UGT have agreed on the signing of the Gipuzkoa Metal Agreement which will be valid for four years (until the end of 2026) and generally in force, as reported by the employer in a press release this Thursday.
The preliminary agreement between Adegi and the two unions, which have a majority at the negotiating table, includes a salary increase in tables of 5% for 2023, IPC plus 0.7% for 2024 and IPC for the years 2025 and 2026.
As for the working day, after more than twenty years without a reduction, a reduction of 2 hours will be applied in the year 2024, which will become the effective working day of 1695 hours.
According to Adegi, after five months of negotiations and “hard work, and without conflict”, they have “reached a good agreement for the companies and their employees, in an environment of growing uncertainty and volatility, which we trust will result in the necessary stability of the companies”.
