Regional Commissioner for Infrastructure and Territorial Development, Imanol Pradales, has emphasized that the new boulevard that will connect Bilbao, Erandio, Leioa and Getxo is a clear commitment to sustainable mobility. Likewise, she believes that it will allow “connect municipalities and move in a different way” around the metropolis.

As he noted, the goal would be to reduce the thousands of daily car trips in this area of ​​Bizkaia. “In the metropolitan region, people drive a lot by car and we want to change that,” explains the deputy of Bizkaia. For example, he pointed out that with this new infrastructure “we calculate that a third of those trips by car would change the way you move”.
